Not Quite Wild: Snow Leopards

Shot in Montana in Dec. 2007 and Feb. 2008 with the Canon 1D Mark III and the 400mm DO f/4

The moment I saw the snow leopards in Planet Earth I, I desparately wanted to see them. It was before there were any organized photo trips to the snow leopard's natural habitat; and, before I knew the truth behind game farms. These captive, energetic 6 month old snow leopards were photographed in Montana; and, I pray that whoever adopted these cubs had goodness in their intentions and kept the siblings together. These tireless and adorable snow leopards were quite special to watch as they flung themselves off of the ledges straight down to the ground.
